June 14, 2022 Election Information
June 14, 2022 is a State of Maine Primary Election and Local Town Election. Qualified voters will receive a primary ballot for their party and all voters will receive a Town ballot on June 14, 2022. If your voter status is “UN-ENROLLED”, you have the right to enroll in a party anytime, including on Election Day. If you choose to do this, you must remain in that party for a minimum of 3 months If you are currently enrolled in a party, and you wish to change parties, to be eligible to participate in that party’s Primary on June 14, the deadline to do so is Friday, May 27, 2022. In order to change your enrollment you must come into the Town Clerk’s office during regular business yours and complete a new voter registration card. If you change parties on Election Day, it will not affect the June 14, 2022 primary, and you will receive your original parties primary ballot.
Please note the following:
- THERE IS NO PRIMARY BALLOT IN ACTON FOR THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY.
- THERE IS NO PRIMARY BALLOT IN ACTON FOR THE GREEN INDEPENDENT PARTY.
- Anyone registered in either of these two parties on Election Day, will only receive the Town ballot.
Voters often choose the “Green - Independent” party and deem themselves “Independent” - please note Green Independent is an actual party in Maine. There is a difference between an un-enrolled voters and a green-independent.
